The Salt Orchard

Front cover for my debut literary novel: a girl in a lighthouse orchard on a stormy coast. Moody, a little magical, not fantasy-heavy.

How your money is held

When you choose a proposal you pay the illustrator's quoted price — no buyer fee on top. We hold it while you go through the sketch rounds you agreed: the illustrator can see the project is funded, but nobody touches the money until you approve the final art. Then your full-resolution files unlock and the payment goes to the illustrator, less our 12% fee, which comes out of their side. If the illustrator goes quiet or misses the deadline by more than a week without agreeing a new date, tell us on the project page and we refund you in full; if you part ways after the sketches, we split it fairly for the work done.
